Change attitude

These days it seems as if there is no day without its share of troubles or tribulation. When I was younger, I feel there were more days when I used to smile and be happy. Now it looks like the burden of troubles grows by the day.

A thought for today:

” to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn,

” to provide for those who grieve in Zion- to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise in place of a spirit of despair.”

Isaiah 61-2-3

  1. Life is so tough – I would love to go back to my youth and remember my parents saying to me when I was complaining about school while studying for a test, or doing homework as a young girl … “just wait until you are out in the real world and then you will see just how tough things are!” They were prophetic is seems.

      1. I agree with you Susie and on so many levels. Still waiting on the computer guy to show up and in the interim looking at a video on Windows 10 and I sure do not need all those bells and whistles … not happy with Microsoft for phasing out Windows 7 next January. Sometimes I would like to return to a quill pen but then we would never have met.

I love thinking of wearing a ‘garment of praise,’ instead of ‘spirit of despair.’ Great truth Susie! Thank you so much for sharing it.
