Truths and Inspiration

Blithe Blog

What does Blithe mean ? Perhaps it means happy. Remember the old rhyme ?

And the child that is born on the Sabbath Day- is Bonnie, blithe and good and gay. Lucy Melinda from purpleslobinrecovery has nominated me for another award. Thank you Lucy. ,Mine is not an award free blog. I get nominated very rarely for awards and right now, I am in the period where I enjoy reading others blogs than writing my own. So thanks to Lucy, I am back to writing again.

Share 3 interesting and different facts about yourself.

  1. I used to have a good smile ( so I have been told) but I lost it maybe around the age of 18, when life and its realities started hitting me. I am now 47 and am trying hard to bring that smile back to my face.
  2. I am a medical doctor but strange for a doctor, I have a very strong interest in history, English literature, reading and writing fiction and my preferred books for reading are not my medical books but books which show old time values.
  3. My favorite color is red- why do I love red ? Because I think this color reflects who I am and my personality- vibrant( like to be), down to earth, simple, homely but likes to look good but too lazy and not confident enough to put in the effort to make myself look good.

  1. Susie, thanks for linking to me I am honored. I also am happy to know your favorite color is red. I have a red sweater on today. I don’t wear it all that much, but when I do the color reflects in my face and gives my cheeks some pinkness. Maybe one day we will see each other’s smiles in person. Kathy

    1. Kathy,
I have a red sweater too but my sorrow is that it doesn’t fit me too well. I am trying to get another one.
I think red would be a lovely color on you and reflect its grandeur on your face. Is it cold there still ?
I will certainly come visiting Glassboro if I make it to a course in the US.
I used to love smiling- a lot.

I am a public health physician. In theory not a very money earning physician but in practice a very important part of the medical world. I am trying to come to the US to get my Masters degree from a US university, so I can better myself- it is like my dream. But I want to return to my home country after my course, so my students can benefit from my knowledge.

  2. Thank you for linking to my blog. Thank you for your love. I got to know more about you through Blog Blithe. You are a Doctor, that is amazing. I feel glad to read red is your favourite colour because it is mine too. Show me a hundred things and I won’t be able to decide which one to buy or take out of them. Show all of them, to me, in red and I would buy all of them (of course my finances will not allow me to do such an act 😀 ) As for the smile, if you had it at 18, you must surely be having it at 47 too. The prescription from somebody who is not a doctor is – Practice smiling more. What about smiling to yourself 30 times a day? Too much? Okay! Start with 20 then 🙂

    1. A long time ago, I lost my smile – while in college, when I lost my faith, when a lot of things happened to me and I saw things that I thought the Lord should not have allowed in a Christian institution. I feared people- my teachers, my fellow students, any one- gradually, I stopped smiling.

      1. Oh Susie, I’m so sorry this happened to you. I also have questioned when I see the news about the intense suffering of those in the Middle East.
I have also wondered, “God how can you let this be?”
But I don’t let go of Him- It is humans that seem to be full of so much evil.
        I understand the “Flood”.
Glad I wasn’t living then. God is our only hope in this evil place we call earth.
Once God truly changes a heart, then there is love. True love does not exist except through God.
