Sunshine Blogger Award

I have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Sabrine from incahootswithmuddyboots. Sabrine writes about the recipes she enjoys tasting, cooking and sharing, which are mainly hot and spicy foods. I would say like Anne of Green Gables that she is a “kindred spirit” because like me she constantly works towards becoming fit( a new fad with me), enjoying hot and spicy food, observing nature , enjoying winter and summer alike, loving plants and her inherent honesty. She is an ardent photographer ( check her blog) and loves watching good movies. Where she would differ from me would be that I am an early bird- wake up early and sleep very early. She works hard in the garden and enjoys gardening, just the way I do.

Tuesday- Tell a tale

I am dealing with a cat crying out loud to be let outside. I think that because I have had children and think of my cat as my child, I want to protect him from the feral cats outside. But the past two days, I have been sick and indoors- so he knows I am at home and he’s using this as an excuse to whine and ask for an outdoor treat.

I have had cats before and know that once let out, they loathe coming in. The outdoor cats are not so and constantly look for ways to come into the house- talk of the grass being greener on the other side.

Today I let Sunshine out for about 15 minutes- the worst 15 minutes of my 4 year life with him. He was hesitant at first and with baby steps, walked to the neighbour’s lot, where he potted and smelled the vegetables grown there. I left my door open, in case he wanted to come in on his own. But he didn’t.

After about 15 minutes, I went to look for him in my neighbour’s plot and found him looking lost among some cabbages they grow there. He allowed me to pick me up but spat at me- perhaps out of fear or because he didn’t want to be caught.

Now I am dealing with a cat, which is crying his heart out.  Did I do wrong ?

Wednesday : Weighting and Waiting

Just a day to go to the weekend. And I am so ready for it. What with my migraine and the work place bullying and the prelude to my saying “No”, I am ready for the rest time.

Ok, well, today is the day. I need to have the statistics ready.

My weight is at 86 kgs, so that is a positive.

Exercising : I didn’t do any exercise other than house work for about 4 days of last week, since my last weigh-in.

Positives : I have a better exercise tolerance. I am not getting winded up so soon and also I am running up a light sweat during my walk, this at about 13 C. House work does not exhaust me so much and I am actually getting better at it. This is not to say about dish washing- which is my anathema.
